Remorting
Remorting is a process where, when you reach level 109, you start again as
another class and race (the class can be the same, but the race cannot,) at
level 1. This may sound like a bum deal at first, but it isn't.
When you remort for the first time you get to pick one skill or spell from
your current class to keep with you during your career as your next class.
When you remort for the second time you pick two skills or spells to keep, IN
ADDITION to the skill or spell kept from your previous remort. When you
remort for the third time, you choose another three skills or spells to keep,
in addition to the previous three. So, when you have remorted three times,
you will have 6 skills or spells of your choosing, in addition to the skills
and spells provided by the class you are. In addition, all 1st remorts get
track to superb and all 2nd, 3rd and 4th remorts get superb track and scout in
addition to whatever skills they choose. It's best to use the command whogets
<skill/spellname> to help determine your path because it tells you what class
gets that skill or spell.
When you first remort, you must choose to become a eldar, golem or vampire.
This will decide whether you are going down the good, neutral or evil path.
Once you have choosen a path, you must follow through with it to the end. So,
if you choose to remort from, say, a changeling to a golem, your next remort
will be to a shade. (The remort races are detailed below.) Note that each
successive remort race is more powerful than the previous one; this is the
second advantage you get from remorting a character.
Finally, note that for your 4th remort (to Demi-God, Prophet or Arch-Devil)
you will not pick any more skills or spells, but keep the 6 you have
previously choosen. The 4th remort races are, however, more powerful than the
3rd, and do have a greater number of class choices available to them. For more
info on any given remort race, type HELP <name of race>.
To begin the remort process, please follow the following steps:
1. Sell all quest EQ and/or quest spells.
2. Deposit all money and personal equipment.
3. Handling Eq that is above level 1 while remorting may cause problems so
please deposit them or transfer them to an alt.
4. Go to a lawful room (like the NTC temple or Quest shop) room and then
type "remort"
5. Fill in the remort data by using the remort menu dialogue
6. You're done! congratulations!
